Once tears filled empty cups and sighs turned into yawns,
While whimsy words play chase above my head
Waiting for not much at all.
I dreamt of you one night and smiled that wicked smile.
One hoped to see autumn leaves dancing in December
And lovers kissing on frozen ponds...
Such notions made me laugh until,
I caught you with a blush.
So, once again I tread this winding path,
(The ever changing bliss and gloom)
For I was tired of the belief
That each sentence should begin with 'I' and not 'we'.
Where stories of love, hate, loss and birth
Became my muse
To let go of this self-inflicting tediousness
A barrier
A protection
From what I truly crave.
But for now, let morning dew fill empty cups
And sighs turn into laughter.
Let whimsy words form lasting tales
About 'us' and not 'me'.

The From now on I saw in my dream,
Blurred, with the letter I could not write,
Only the darkness was kind,
Heart-breaking; I shut my eyes
